All interpretations that use any information from history is false: True prophecy is entirely interpreted by establish figurative language used throughout the scripture, and by the context of how figurative terms and numbers are used in the prophetic message.
Numbers in prophecy note "the extent of" something; an event, an individual, even a time, but numbers in prophecy DO NOT MARK TIME AS SUCH! numbers are used figuratively in prophecy and throughout all of scripture to describe, i.e. three score in scripture means "the fullness of man" a thousand in scripture means an myriad of time indefinite.
These are the proper biblical uses of terms and numbers for interpreting the prophetic message in scripture.
